The build up to the 2017-18 season is hotting up with
clubs in pre-season action - and the new campaign
now just weeks away.
Manchester City, stung by a 2-0 defeat to United in
Houston, have completed the signing of Danilo from
Real Madrid for £26million.
And Pep Guardiola is not finished there as he aims to
tie down Benjamin Mendy.
Mendy will arrive from Monaco , who are continuing to
fend off interest in Kylian Mbappe.
Arsenal are continuing to do similar with Alexis
Sanchez, who wants £500k-a-week to join PSG - a
clear show that the Chilean only wants to move to
the Etihad, for a reunion with Pep Guardiola.
Elsewhere, PSG continue to pursue Neymar far a
staggering £197m , while Barcelona themselves are
set to return to Liverpool with an £80m offer for
Philippe Coutinho - even as Liverpool boss Jurgen
Klopp declares his Merseyside love affair will
continue.
We still have six weeks remaining, so be sure to keep
checking the blog for the latest deals to drop.
Hello LA
Well, I wonder where he’s going?
That right there is Monaco defender Benjamin Mendy,
boarding a flight to Los Angeles - where Manchester
City just so happen to be.
The French international is set to join City in a
£49.5million deal and is heading out to the US for his
medical and to put the finishing touches on his move.
Pep Guardiola has been desperate to land the left-
back, who impressed in Monaco’s run to the
Champions League semi-finals last term.

German giants join race for unhappy
Sancho
German giants Borussia Dortmund have joined the
race for Manchester City starlet Jadon Sancho.
The England Under-17 winger has been left behind
from City’s US tour, as he continues to stall over a
new contract.
Now his future is uncertain.
Wolves keen on Gallagher
Wolves are keen on taking Southampton’s Sam
Gallagher on loan.
Wanderers want a new striker to fight Nouha Dicko for
the No.9 shirt at Molineux this season and have
turned their attention to Gallagher.
He impressed on loan at Blackburn last term, but
remains down the pecking order at Southampton.
As such, the Saints are prepared to let him leave on a
temporary deal again this season - but will want
guarantees over playing time.

Can set for Liverpool stay
Jurgen Klopp expects Emre Can to sign a new deal at
Liverpool and insists the midfielder will not leave the
club.
The German has been linked with a move to Serie A
champions Juventus.
But Klopp told the Liverpool Echo : “You can imagine
we’re involved in talks and we all feel good and
confident in this moment.
“That means they’re not the worst talks but until
anything is done or signed there’s nothing to say.
“Emre is a very important player for us. We don’t
want to sell or lose players who are in our first line up
or close to it.
“Emre is certainly one of them. We want to keep him
and we’re having good talks.”

Mendy to join up with Man City
Manchester City love a full-back.

prepares to complete his move from Monaco.
The left-back will cost £52million and tweeted today
that he is off to LA where City will play Real Madrid
on Wednesday.
No United move for Bale
Jose Mourinho has ruled out Manchester United
making a move for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale this
summer.
Bale has been a long-term target for United, who tried
to hijack his £85million move to the Spanish giants in
2013 by offering £100m for him.
United have again been linked with a move for Wales
star Bale but, ahead of their meeting with Real in San
Jose on Sunday, Mourinho ruled out any bid for him.
After branding a move for Bale’s Real team-mate
Cristiano Ronaldo as “mission impossible”, Mourinho
said Bale was never a target for him.
