Arsenal Transfer News LIVE updates: Real Madrid want Sanchez, Chelsea bid for the Oxlade Chamberlain

Gunners hijack Liverpool move
10:20: Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly preparing
moves to sign Gremio striker Luan.
Luan was linked with a move to Liverpool earlier in the
year after turning down the chance to sign a new deal
at the Brazilian club.
The 24-year-old’s current contract ends in 2018 and
player was said to be available for around £26million.
Luan looked set to join Spartak Moscow after the
Russian side made a £18m offer.
But the deal has now collapsed and Brazilian outlet
Zero Hora say Arsenal and Liverpool are ready to
move for the striker.

Wenger admits contract fault
09:25: Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed
how uncertainty over his future last season created a
"lack of clarity in the dressing room" and saw players
asking him what was going on.
The Gunners boss said: "I had an impact on the
season, because at some stage the players came to
see me and said:,'What's going on boss? Where do you
go?'
"I created, with me not deciding, a lack of clarity in
the dressing room and there is nothing worse than that
in the dressing room.
"When you are not completely in or the players feel
you are not completely in, it is difficult to tell them we
go (out to win).
"At some stage, I had to tell them, 'Look guys, I am
with you, but we have to win games'."
Zidane fighting for Sanchez
08:35: Zinedine Zidane is eager to sign Alexis
Sanchez, who he views as the perfect alternative to
Monaco superstar Kylian Mbappe.
Spanish publication Don Balon claim Zidane thinks
Sanchez would be an excellent addition to his already
stacked squad.
But Real president Florentino Perez is reluctant.
The report says Perez thinks the Arsenal attacker is
too old and he would rather focus on youthful targets
instead.
West Ham plot Carvalho swoop
07:40: West Ham are ready to bid for Sporting Lisbon
defensive midfielder William Carvalho, reports claim.
Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool have all
previously been linked with the 25-year-old Portugal
international.
But it’s Slaven Bilic’s West Ham who are prepared to
make the first move.
The Daily Mail claim Bilic is still looking to add to his
squad and will make a £25m bid for Carvalho in the
coming days.
Lucas Vazquez offer
06:30: Arsenal and Liverpool have made bids for Real
Madrid forward Lucas Vasquez, reports say.
Real Madrid star Vasquez is facing an uncertain future
at the Bernabeu after Los Blancos’ transfer dealings
this summer.
Both Liverpool and Arsenal are in the market for new
forwards with the futures of Philippe Coutinho and
Alexis Sanchez still far from clear.
And Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim both teams have
made bids for Vasquez.
It is said that, though he loves life in Spain, the 26-
year-old is concerned that he will find regular game
time tough to come by next season.

Madrid star Marco Asensio
06:00: Arsenal have made a bid for Real Madrid ace
Marco Asensio, according to reports.
Asensio, 21, started just 11 La Liga games as Real
Madrid lifted the title ahead of Barcelona.
And Spanish outlet Diario Gol say the winger is
attracting a lot of attention.
They claim Liverpool, Arsenal and Juventus have made
bids for Asensio.
Diario Gol reckon Asensio wants to stay at the
Bernabeu but he is willing to leave if Zidane cannot
guarantee him regular game time.
Olivier Giroud latest
04:40: Olivier Giroud wouldn’t find a move to Marseille
‘attractive enough’ according to their manager Rudi
Garcia.
Giroud has been linked with a summer exit from the
Emirates following the signing of Alexandre Lacazette.
And Garcia has poured cold water on a potential deal,
telling L’Equipe: “Giroud is a French international, he's
playing at Arsenal and he's eventually going to change
clubs...this shows that we still have barriers to cross
to be completely attractive.
"Today, to have top players, we are a little short. We
don't want people to dream and think that we are
going to take a top player."
Chelsea have raised their bid for Alex Oxlade-
Chamberlain
Chelsea step up pressure for Alex Oxlade-
Chamberlain
04:10: Chelsea have stepped up the pressure on
Arsenal with an increased bid of £35 million for Alex
Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The Premier League champions saw an initial £25m
offer rebuffed by Arsenal, but Chelsea manager
Antonio Conte is a massive fan of the England
midfielder and is determined to recruit him before the
transfer window closes.
Conte sees Oxlade-Chamberlain’s versatility as either a
right winger or wing back as a valuable addition to a
squad that he feels is currently understrength, with
Champions League football looming.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has only one year left on his
current Arsenal deal and can leave for nothing at the
end of next season.
It is understood that the 23 year old has told Gunners
manager Arsene Wenger that he is ready for a change,
though the Frenchman would like him to stay
