WWE Raw results: 7 things you missed overnight as John Cena makes a big move

Summerslam is in the books after Sunday's 'biggest
party of the summer', with a number of title changes
taking place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, as
Sasha Banks claimed the Raw Women's
Championship and Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins
claimed the Raw Tag Team Championships.
However, one title that didn't change hands was the
Universal Championship, which Brock Lensar retained
in a frantic main event. Monday's episode Raw
focused on all the fallout from Summerslam, as well
as casting one eye towards the No Mercy pay-per-
view next month.
As John Cena returned to Raw, Big Cass, Finn Balor,
Jason Jordan, The Hardy Boyz and Roman Reigns
were also in action, and here are seven things you
missed overnight...
Brock Lesnar celebrates – but Braun
Strowman isn't finished with him yet
At Summerslam, Universal Champion Brock Lesnar
retained his title by winning the hard-hitting fatal four-
way against Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns and
Samoa Joe – even after going through two tables at
the hands of Strowman.
Lesnar and advocate Paul Heyman opened Raw by
celebrating the win, having previously claimed that
they would be leaving WWE if Lesnar lost the title at
Summerslam, and even gloated at the fact that it was
Reigns who was pinned for Lesnar's victory – but he
isn't out of the woods just yet.
Strowman not only emerged to confront Lesnar, but
hit him with a big boot and two running powerslams
before holding the Universal Championship aloft. Later
in the show, it was confirmed that Lesnar and
Strowman will go head-to-head at No Mercy next
month, with Strowman bidding to take the title off
Lesnar, crowning his era of destruction.
Big Cass suffers injury in Brooklyn
Street Fight against Enzo Amore
Big Cass proved his dominance again at Summerslam,
as he defeated Big Show whilst former tag team
partner Amore was suspended above the ring in a
shark cage – though he did eventually manage to
sneak out and drop down to the ring, where Cass
disposed of him quickly.
Amore, still reeling from the betrayal of his former
friend, took on Cass in a Brooklyn Street Fight, as he
was desperate to exert some revenge, even bringing a
cart full of weapons to the ring
Unfortunately for Cass, the match didn't end as he
would have hoped. A bad fall on his knee led to his
leg giving way on him, and the match was abandoned
due to his injury, leaving Enzo with a cheap victory –
and the hope will be that Cass doesn't have a serious
injury.
John Cena returns to Monday Night
Raw, calls out Roman Reigns
Raw General Manager Kurt Angle promised a big
addition to the Raw roster on Monday night, and he
certainly delivered, as John Cena's move from
Smackdown to Raw was confirmed.
Cena beat Baron Corbin at Summerslam on Sunday
night, but revealed that Angle asked him whether he
would be interested in a move to Raw, and he
immediately took the opportunity – all because he
wants to face off against one man in
particular...Roman Reigns.
Whilst Reigns and Cena threatened to square off in
the ring, The Miz and then Samoa Joe both appeared,
telling the pair that they were sick of them hogging
the limelight, with Joe sparking a brawl by attacking
Cena – and with that, the main event was set, with
The Miz and Samoa Joe teaming up to take on the
reluctant duo of Cena and Reigns.
Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins
defeat The Hardy Boyz
Having finally reunited on Raw last week, Dean
Ambrose and Seth Rollins capped off a whirlwind
week by defeating Cesaro and Sheamus for the Raw
Tag Team titles at Summerslam.
On Monday, the pair celebrated their reunion and their
title success, before claiming that they would take on
anybody, any time, anywhere...and that handed them
a 'dream match' against The Hardy Boyz, with Cesaro
and Sheamus set to use their rematch clause down
the line.
It was Ambrose and Rollins who came out on top,
with a knee strike and Dirty Deeds to Jeff Hardy
handing them the win, but The Hardy Boyz could be
back again in the near future as they look to reclaim
the Raw Tag Team titles.
Sasha Banks celebrates, but Alexa
Bliss will get her rematch
Sasha Banks finally got her win in Brooklyn at
Summerslam on Sunday. After losing her NXT
Championship to Bayley in 2015 and her Raw
Women's Championship to Charlotte in 2016, both in
the Barclays Center, Banks finally got the job done in
Brookly, defeating Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women's
Championship.
On Monday night, Banks sent out a message to the
recovering Ric Flair before turning her attention back
to Bliss, even challenging her to use her rematch
clause immediately, as Banks was ready to fight there
and then.
However, Bliss – who reminded Banks that she has
never successfully defended the Raw Women's
Championship – stated that Brooklyn didn't deserve to
see her win the title back, but did claim that she will
have her rematch on Raw next week, meaning Banks
will again have to end another one of her unwanted
records.
Jason Jordan demands Finn Balor
match, but ends up losing
Jason Jordan teamed up with The Hardy Boyz to take
on the Miztourage at Summerslam, and even though
he ended up on the losing side on Sunday night, he
had big plans for Monday Night Raw.
Jordan went to GM and his long-lost father Kurt Angle
pleading for a match with Finn Balor, and whilst Angle
wasn't sure that Jordan was ready for such a step-up
in class, he gave him his match.
Ultimately, Jordan couldn't defeat Balor – who beat
Bray Wyatt at Summerslam – as Balor's hugely
successful combination of a Sling Blade, drop kick and
Coup de Grace finisher proved to be enough for the
victory, leaving Jordan to re-assess his plans moving
forward.
Roman Reigns and John Cena team
up and win – but tensions are
mounting
After their altercation earlier in the night, Reigns and
Cena teamed up to take on The Miz and Samoa Joe in
the main event, with the Miztourage ringside just to
stack the odds further against Reigns and Cena.
Cena was in real trouble when Joe locked in the
Coquina Clutch, and whilst Reigns attempted to hit
Joe with a Superman Punch, he ended up hitting
Cena, seemingly giving The Miz the chance to seal
the win.
However, Cena wriggled out of the Skull-Crushing
Finale, hitting The Miz with an Attitude Adjustment for
the win. Whilst Reigns and Cena should have been
celebrating their win, the focus was more on the
tension surrounding the inadvertent punch to Cena,
giving fans a taste of what may be to come between
two of WWE's biggest names.
