“Violence is not rocket science, Muslims have
always been targets of the agitations of IPOB.
We concede to the right of all citizens to
peaceful gatherings to press home their
demands.
“We will not accept the continuous attacks on
our people because they are Muslims or from
the North; not every Muslim is from the North
and not all from the north are Muslims. We
will regard further attacks as ethnic
cleansing."

The statement by the group comes days after
a reported attack on a Hausa community by
suspected members of the Indigenous People
of Biafra (IPOB), in Oyigbo local government
area of the state.
In another related incident, suspected IPOB
members have been accused of invading a
Yoruba mosque in Abia state and destroying
everything in it.
The development was made public by a
Facebook user, Yuslah Faruk.
In the post, a video was uploaded showing
the level of destruction inflicted on the
property.
In the video, a man could be heard
lamenting, as he accused the miscreants of
also defecating in the place of worship and
stealing various items including fans, meter,
and even protectors.
Various piles of paper were seen splashed
about the place as the narrator stated that the
criminals had also destroyed the certificates
of students who worshipped in the mosque.
