Kerry Katona jokes her divorces will prepare her for role of evil queen as she gets into character for Sleeping Beauty pantomime

She might be loved-up with beau James English, but
Kerry Katona joked she'll be looking back to her
divorces as she prepares her for a role as pantomime
villain.
The former Loose Women presenter, who this year
split from third husband George Kay, will be treading
the boards as a wicked queen in Sleeping Beauty this
Chrismas.
37-year-old Kerry appears to be channeling her alter-
ego already as she got into her character for a
photoshoot in Manchester to promote her upcoming
appearance.
Clad in a purple and black corseted gown, complete
with lace gloves and horns, the mum practiced her
evil poses and maniacal laugh.
Singer Kerry, from Warrington, said she's looking
forward to revealing her dark side as the fairy who
curses Princess Beauty at the Middleton Arena.
She told the Manchester Evening News: “My
character in Sleeping Beauty is the evil queen, so
pretty much like me in real life. Ask my ex husbands,
I’m sure they’ll agree with you.
“Getting into the zone to play a baddie? I don’t think I
need to get into a zone. Only joking, I'm actually a
really nice person.
“Getting into the zone is really easy especially when
you’re a mum of five and they’re driving you crazy. I
turn into an evil queen anyway."
She added: “And I’ve just got to think of all the
money I’ve wasted on divorces and I’ll be so angry.
It’ll be dead easy.”
Kerry points out that she’s turning ‘nice to bad’ to
play a wicked character instead of the good fairy in
her previous role in Cinderella in Lincoln, for which
she received rave reviews.
“So Kerry Katona having a normal bipolar day. Not
much difference really” she joked.
Mother of five Kerry, who has two daughters Molly
and Lilly-Sue with former Westlife heartthrob Brian
McFadden, two children Heidi and Max with second
husband Mark Croft and a daughter Dylan-Jorge Rose
with third husband George Kay, is looking forward to
wowing audiences at the stage at the arena from
Thursday November 30 to Wednesday December 27.
And her children will be cheering on their mum in her
second panto role, which will bring her to the
neighbouring town to where her ex Brian lives with
Rochdale PE teacher Danielle Parkinson.
Atomic Kitten fans will also be thrilled to hear that
Kerry will be belting out their huge number one hit
Whole Again in the show.
“That’s great, more royalties for me,” she laughed.
Earlier this month Kerry's beau comedian James
English shared a loved-up picture of the two of them
on social media.
The former Atomic Kitten star could barely wipe the
smile off her face as her new partner wrapped his
arms around her.
Fans rushed to comment on the 'lovely photo' as the
pair looked to be basking in the early days of their
romance.
