If Luke is giving up the Jedi ways, will he start using
different weapons?
Although Rey has returned his lightsaber to him, he
has not been shown holding or using it in any footage
or images so far.
Leaks earlier this year revealed that he would have a
collection of mysterious ancient Force artefacts in
Episode 8.
In among all the excitement of Force Friday II
recently, a new piece of Last Jedi merchandise
actually revealed Luke's amazing new lightning rod.

Star Wars expert Mike Zeroh says: “That is indeed his
shocking weapon which actually shoots out lightning.
It does not have to touch the subject it can shoot out
lightning from a distance. I am sure he is going to use
this in the film.
“Of course this is nothing close to a lightsaber.
Perhaps he will use it while training Rey or during the
battle with the sea monster.
"Luke Skywalker also has an orange backpack which is
full of ancient artefacts and this zapping weapon is
one of them.”

creatures that get in his way."
MakingStarWars.Net editor Jason ward describes
another item as an "important" mystical compass.
He wrote: “Probably the most beautiful piece of
craftsmanship I can think of for a Star Wars film. It
has a very old look to it but the inside is almost
steampunk or like something mystical from Naboo.
"Before I ever saw it, I heard it was important."
