The rogue nation’s nuclear arsenal is held under the
control of the Strategic Rocket Forces, just outside
Pyongyang, where some 1,000 ballistic missiles are
believed to be stored.
And chubby dictator Kim Jong-Un has ramped up tests
in recent weeks as North Korea seeks to solidify its
position as a global nuclear power.
Although many of the shorter-range weapons can
reach between 30 miles and 300 miles, the rotund
tyrant has also threatened to strike the US.
And Washington intelligence officials confirmed North
Korea could strap a nuclear warhead to an
intercontinental missile to reach mainland America.

The rogue nation’s nuclear arsenal is held under the
control of the Strategic Rocket Forces
Now Express.co.uk reveals exactly how deadly North
Korea could actually be - and whether Britain is at risk:
What is North Korea’s missile range:
Much of North Korea’s early missiles were copies of
Russian scud-class weapons, but Kim long-Un has
heavily invested in developing its own advanced
arsenal.
Eastern China, South Korea and Japan would be in the
immediate firing line if North Korea fired either a Scud
missile with 180 to 600 mile range, a KN-11 with about
600 mile range or a Nodong missile with a range of
800 miles.
The rogue nation has had this capability for decades
however, but so far has not used them.
The Hwasong-13 intercontinental ballistic missile has a
range of 7,450 miles

A
Musudan missile could reach even further, with a 2,200
mile range affecting swathes of Russia and China - the
hermit state’s only remaining ally.
The Hwasong-12 missile can reach countries within a
3,000 mile radius, able to reach most of Russia, China,
Japan, and eastern India - along with Guam.
But the tyrannical regimes most deadly weapon is the
Hwasong-14 and the Hwasong-13 - which have ranges
of more than 6,000 miles.
Experts claim it is capable of reaching "anywhere in
the world" and the tests have shown the weapons to
be "far more successful than expected".
The missiles would be able to hit Alaska in mainland
America as well as Canada, Australia, New Zealand,
and Europe.
The Hwasong-14 was successfully launched on a
lofted trajectory in early July
North Korea's most advanced rockets are now
believed to be able to reach virtually all of the
continental United States, with only the Florida
peninsula presently beyond their range.
Could North Korea hit Britain with a nuclear weapon:
The Hwasong-13 intercontinental ballistic missile that
was last tested in October 2016 is understood to have
a range of 7,450 miles and is capable of carrying a
nuclear warhead.
While the Hwasong-14 was successfully launched on a
lofted trajectory in early July and is estimated to have
an effective range of 6,210 miles.
In the last two years, however, the North Korean
military has stepped up its test launches of a number
of new missile variants, demonstrating with the most
recent launches that they can travel more than 7,400
miles.
That range is sufficient to put London - which is 5,380
miles from North Korea - within range.

Fanciful thinking. Do you think if NK were
to take out Trump first, that it would
prevent retaliation?

Wrong. The leadership in NK is more
militant than Kim. He's a pacifist compared
to the rest of them.

The second after he launched an attack he
and half his people would be dead and he
knows that. This is all posturing to get
recognition by World governments,
something he and his backward region will
never get.

The posturing is to prevent Trump from
attacking. Period.
