John Obi Mikel has expressed joy to be the
captain of the Super Eagles of Nigeria

Saturday, October 7 in Uyo
Nigerian international John Obi Mikel has
expressed happiness to have been the captain
of the Super Eagles of Nigeria that defeated
Zambia 1-0 in Uyo on Saturday, October 7.
Nigeria's win over Zambia at the Godswill
Akpabio stadium in Uyo gave the Super
Eagles the ticket for them to fly to Russia for
the 2018 World Cup.
While reacting to Super Eagles' victory over
Zambia, John Obi Mikel explained that
Nigeria were made to work extra hard to
reach the target of qualifying for the World
Cup.
I am a successful captain - John Obi Mikel.
“It was not easy as Zambia came prepared to
stop us but we rose to the demand of the night
to achieve our goal.
“I am extremely honored to be the captain of
this great team. The boys were truly amazing
and working with them has been a truly
amazing ride and now it’s time to celebrate”,
Mikel stated.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported of
how Mikel Obi inspired the Super Eagles to
an emphatic victory over the Chipolopolo of
Zambia in Uyo.
