Melania Trump slashes White House payroll by focusing on ‘quality over quantity’

A new analysis has shown that Melania has severely
cut Washington costs from predecessor Michelle
Obama by almost a third.
A spokeswoman for Mrs Trump said: “As with all
things that she does, she is being very deliberate in
her hiring, focusing on quality over quantity.”
“It is important to her that the team is a good fit for
what she wants to accomplish as first lady, and that
everyone works well together.
“She also wants to be mindful and responsible when it
comes to taxpayer money.”

According to the report, carried out by Fox News,
Melania Trump only has four people working for her as
of June this year that have a combined salary of
£368,723 ($486,700).
In contrast, Michelle Obama had 16 employees working
for her that tallied up a substantial £939,424 ($1.24
million), according to the New York Post.
The significant White House pay cut also stems from
Mrs Trump's first few months of her husband's
presidency in New York where she took care of the
couple’s son Barron.

The news of Mrs Trump's taking a “mindful and
responsible” approach to the presidency contrasts
claims that the US President has said he “hates
everyone” in the White House.
Having recently backed the losing candidate in the
Alabama nominee race, President Trump appears to
have lost control after an alleged outburst with his
security chief Keith Schiller.
Trump reportedly said: “I hate everyone in the White
House! There are a few exceptions, but I hate them!”
Although the White House denies these claims, people
close to the President have described him to sources
as “unstable”, “losing a step” and “unravelling”.
President Trump’s former chief strategist Steve
Bannon recently stated that he believes the President
only stands a 30 per cent chance of making it through
