Earlier this week billionaire businessman Michael
Bloomberg criticised Britain’s decision to vote to leave
the EU this week but admitted London's position as a
financial hub will continue.
Speaking on the Pledge, Remainer Rachel Johnson
suggested jobs could be at risk in the City because of
Brexit .
Nick Ferrari was left outraged by the comments and
pulled Ms Johnson apart for constantly wanting to
debate Brexit, before he targeted her remarks.
He said: “Rachel, if they hadn’t voted Brexit, you
would have nothing to bloody well talk about. Every
bloody week, you want to talk about Brexit.

“Let’s put this in context, you quote Michael
Bloomberg and I was fortunate enough to spend time
with Michael Bloomberg this week when he opened his
£1billion offices by the Mansion House, in the City.
“It’s been taken quite out of context, he said to me,
the idea that everybody chases off to Frankfurt from
the City is ridiculous.
“The population of Frankfurt equals the population of
the London borough of Croydon. That’s the whole
thing. There’s not a lot of English spoken, and English
is the language of the City.

“As Michael Bloomberg says, is London going to take a
knock? Yes. Will it have the drive and the means
[going forward]? Yes.
“He’s
built
offices
that
can
currently take 4,000 staff but, it could take 7,000. If he
really thought the writing was on the wall for London,
and I don’t blame him, he would be out of there.”
As Boris Johnson's sister attempted to interrupt
Ferrari, he said: “no, hold on”, before continuing with
his point.
“There are tough times, of course there are tough
times, I don’t think anybody every said it was going to
be a slam-dunk,” he said.
Dublin, Frankfurt and Paris all made bids to try to
attract British businesses to the Continent after the
UK made the historic decision to vote to leave the

He said: “It is really hard to understand why a country
that was doing so well wanted to ruin it. What they
are doing is not good and there is no easy way to get
out of it because if they don't pay a penalty, everyone
else would drop out. So they can't get as good of a
deal as they had before.
“I did say that I thought it was the single stupidest
thing any country has ever done but then we Trumped
it.”
Despite his speech, billionaire Mr Bloomberg did admit
that he thought London “as a financial centre will
continue”.
He said: “It will certainly slow things down. It may
even contract in certain industries. I still think,
however, London as a financial centre will continue.”
