Ryan Giggs and his estranged wife Stacey appear to
be winding down their £40million divorce battle as she
is to be granted a decree nisi on Friday.
The couple split up in May 2016, five years after it
was revealed the former Manchester United star had
cheated on his wife with multiple women.
Ryan's squeaky-clean image was shattered back in
2011 when it was revealed he'd been having a secret
eight year affair with his brother's wife Natasha,
whilst he had also enjoyed a six-month fling with
Imogen Thomas.
At the time he had attempted to block Imogen selling
her story by obtaining a gag order preventing the
release of his name in England and Wales.
However, the murky and tangled love triangle was
soon exposed. But who exactly were the women that
tempted the Welsh winger to cheat?

Ryan first met Natasha on a night out in Manchester,
in March 2003, and is said to have bedded her for the
first time just 24-hours after their first run-in at one of
the city's clubs.
Coincidently this is also said to be the first time that
she met her future husband, Ryan's brother, Rhodri.
Just a month later in April 2003 the Man United star
welcomed his first child with his then long-term
partner Stacey (whom he would go on to marry).
According to Natasha - despite becoming a father -
the footballer was still pursuing her for sex, sending
her graphic text messages and even sleeping with her
while his wife Stacey was pregnant.
When his cheating came to light in 2011, a source
remarked: “You’d think that Ryan and Natasha would
have knocked it on the head when they both had kids
– but apparently not.”
Ryan and Natasha are believed to have kept their
extra-marital relationship going all the way through to
April 2011.
She exposed their eight-year relationship in June of
that year after his failed bid to stop his affair with
Imogen coming out in public.
Speaking at the time Natasha told the mirror: “Ryan
and I have already had an affair for eight years. It’s a
terrible secret I’ve had to keep for too long now. I
don’t want it weighing on my conscience any more. I
don’t want to have to carry on lying.”
“I still have feelings for Ryan which I don’t want, but
I’m starting to hate him now too. If he contacted me
now I don’t think I would even reply.”
In December that year she claimed that she'd been
paid £500 by the footballer to abort their love child,
which was shortly followed by an appearance in
Celebrity Big Brother where she spoke of her regrets
regarding Ryan and her hopes of reconciling with her
husband.
Despite their attempts to move past the scandal,
Natasha finally files for divorce from husband Rhodri.
They had two sons together Louis and Liam.

The Welsh footballer and the Big Brother star are
believed to have started an affair in September 2010,
which saw him overlapping his extra-marital activities
with Natasha.
She went on to later claim that he texted her after
their night of passion in a London hotel, which saw
him then supposedly pursue her with a stream of flirty
text messages.
Unlike his prolonged relationship with Natasha, Ryan
only embarked on a six-month affair with Imogen.
Though the following year it was her attempt to sell
the story of their affair which caused the scandal that
rocked his marriage and image.
Trouble began in April of 2011, when Imogen spoke to
a Sunday tabloid of an affair - though she didn't reveal
the identity of the man she'd bedded - saying: "We hit
it off straight away because we had so much in
common.
The following month in May 2011 Ryan spent
£150,000 getting a high court injunction against
Imogen selling her story about their illicit affair,
though despite his efforts he was outed on social
media.
Liberal Democrat MP John Hemming later used
parliamentary privilege to name the Manchester
United star as the Premier League player who took
out an injunction over his relationship with Thomas in
the House of Commons.
That same month a friend of Imogen's told The Sun
that the reality star had thought Ryan would leave his
wife for her, saying: “Imogen was 100 per cent certain
he would leave Stacey and the kids and move in with
her.
“It wasn’t a relationship built totally on sex. She
thought it went much deeper. She was in love but
now she has been left high and dry.”

Though there's no evidence that they every enjoyed
anything more than a cordial working relationship,
Kate Greville, a PR executive, is said to have caught
Ryan's eye in 2015 .
According to The Sun , friends claimed he sent
presents - including flowers - to her agency office as
their friendship became "very flirty".
The pair reportedly grew close during their work on his
Hotel Football project, but later on in 2015 she moved
to Abu Dhabi for a job opportunity - something that is
said to have cooled their friendship off.
In 2016 Ryan and Stacey's marriage broke down,
shortly after rumours regarding the footballer and
Kate came to light.
