Barca close in on Di Maria
09.00: Angel Di Maria’s move to Barcelona is close as
they look to plug the gap left by Neymar.
Barca have already signed Ousmane Dembele, who will
be unveiled early this week.
And Di Maria could be next through the door,
according to Don Balon.
Di Maria, who previously played for Real Madrid,
appears surplus to requirements in Paris.
Conte committed
08.00: Antonio Conte remains totally committed to
Chelsea and will stay even if no new signings are
made before the window shuts.
Chelsea are hoping to make at least three last minute
signings this week.
But Conte insists his future doesn’t depend on it.
"I think my message for the fans is always the same:
I'm totally committed to the club,” he said.
"Totally committed to improve my players and my
team. I'm a coach, not a manager. I think the best of
my work is on the pitch, to try and improve my players
and my team.
"Then, for sure, when you want to strengthen your
squad, you have to give your opinion and speak with
your club, but then the club goes into the transfer
market to try and sort the situation. To try and help
us.
"Sometimes it could be possible. Sometimes it is
possible. Sometimes it's not possible. But I must be
focused with things on the pitch and continue to work
with my players."
Origi exit
07.00: Divock Origi could leave Liverpool on loan
before the transfer deadline passes.
The striker has struggled to make an impression under
Klopp and could depart Anfield this month.
“We will see,” Klopp said when asked about his future.
"That's not something to talk about here. If players
come in, I think it makes sense to think about what we
do on the other side. They're obviously involved in this
(the players). I'm not sure, we will see, you have to
wait.
“No games now so I hope you can enjoy the next five
or six days with all the rumours and all that stuff. I'm
not looking forward to it but it's part of the game eh?”

Barcelona want Rashford to replace Suarez
05:30: Barcelona are preparing an audacious attempt
to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United next
summer.
Barcelona’s fearsome front three of Lionel Messi, Luis
Suarez and Neymar were broken up this summer with
the latter leaving for Paris Saint-Germain.
Messi is expected to sign a new contract at the Nou
Camp and an announcement was expected as early as
the end of last season, but no such deal has been
confirmed.
Ernesto Valverde has admitted Neymar’s departure left
a gaping hole at Barcelona, one they have attempted
to fill with the signing of Ousmane Dembele.
And Spanish outlet Don Balon claim Barcelona are
ready to start afresh next summer by making an
audacious bid to sign Marcus Rashford as part of their
new look attack - but any move is likely to cost
£185million.
Adelaide wanted by Bolton?
04:30: Arsenal youngster Jeff Reine-Adelaide is
wanted on loan by Championship side Bolton
Wanderers.
The 19-year-old made just six first-team appearances
for the Gunners last season.
And The Sun claim Arsene Wenger is ready to offload
the midfielder in order for gain regular minutes and
benefit his development.
Bolton want to bolster their midfield ranks and have
targeted him.
But they will face competition from Claudio Ranieri’s
Nantes, who are also keen on securing his signature.
Fernando Llorente one of three Chelsea
targets
03:30: Chelsea are set to table a bid for Swansea
striker Fernando Llorente as Antonio Conte targets
three more signings.
That’s according to The Independent who claim
Antonio Conte who is eager to reunite with the 32-
year-old.
The two together at Juventus during the 2013/14
season in which the Serie A side won the title with a
record points tally of 102.
And it is said the Chelsea boss is also keen on
bringing in another midfielder as well as a wing-back.
Chelsea are preparing a bid for Fernando Llorente
City to offer Arsenal £70m PLUS Denayer
for Sanchez?
Manchester City are ready to offer Arsenal £70million
plus Jason Denayer for Alexis Sanchez.
The Gunners have already rejected a £50m bid from
City for the Chile international.
But The Daily Star claim Arsene Wenger could be
willing to sell his prized asset following their 4-0
drubbing at Liverpool.
It is said Wenger will use the money from Sanchez’s
potential sale to land top target Thomas Lemar from
Monaco.
Fowler on Coutinho 'hating everyone' at
Liverpool
00:05: Philippe Coutinho will be ‘hating everyone’ at
Liverpool at the moment - but he can win over the
fans and resurrect his Anfield career.
That is the view of Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler,
who reckons Coutinho will put all the Barcelona
speculation to one side and ‘knuckle down’ when the
transfer window closes.
He wrote in his latest column for The Daily Mirror:
“Everyone is saying there is no way back for Philippe
Coutinho at Anfield, that even if he is still a Liverpool
player when the window closes at 11pm on Thursday,
then he will find it difficult to play for the club again.
“That is why so many voices are screaming that he
should be sold. I disagree. Passionately.”
He added: “Coutinho has got a lip on at the moment,
and I don’t doubt he will be cursing everyone at
Anfield, hating everyone.”
“But when it dawns on him he is not leaving, if
September 1 arrives and he is still in a red shirt, then,
believe me, he will knuckle down and start playing
again.”

Lemar to Liverpool
22.00: Liverpool have enquired about signing Monaco
winger Thomas Lemar for a club-record £55m,
according to The Telegraph.
The report says the move is not linked to the future of
Philippe Coutinho, who the club are insisting will not
be joining Barcelona this summer.
The Anfield club will have been boosted in their
attempts to sign the Lemar this week after Arsenal
ruled themselves out of the chase.
When asked about a move for Lemar, Arsene Wenger
said: “It’s dead because Monaco has closed the door.”
Mbappe to PSG
18:14: French radio station RMC claim PSG have
agreed a £166m deal to sign Monaco star Kylian
Mbappe.
Monaco didn’t want to sell the winger but PSG have
come in with a staggering offer for the 18-year-old.
The deal would make Mbappe the world’s second-most
expensive signing after Neymar’s move to Paris earlier
in the summer.
Spurs eye Lemar
16:42: Tottenham want to sign Thomas Lemar from
Monaco.
Arsenal and Liverpool have already failed in their
attempts to sign the French winger.
But French outlet Le 10 Sport claim Spurs have
emerged as contenders for his signature late in the
transfer window.
Monaco don’t want to sell - they have already lost a
raft of players in the transfer market and Kylian
Mbappe is currently set to join PSG.
But they will consider an offer from Spurs if it is hefty
enough.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger described their
interest in Lemar as “dead” earlier this month.
And Liverpool were looking at the 21-year-old as a
possible replacement for Philippe Coutinho, should he
move to Barcelona.
PSG seek FFP assurances
16:14: Paris Saint-Germain are seeking reassurance
from UEFA that signing Kylian Mbappe from Monaco
will NOT breach Financial Fair Play.
PSG already stunned Barcelona this summer by
spending £200m on Neymar.
Barca had given Neymar a release clause they
believed was insurmountable but PSG completed the
hostile purchase regardless.
They now want to spend around £168m on Mbappe.
Monaco have reluctantly accepted the astronomical
offer but PSG want clearance from UEFA before
spending more cash, the Guardian claim.
Evans statement
15:23: Jonny Evans released a statement in West
Brom’s match-day programme to address Manchester
City’s interest in the defender.
“Obviously, there’s been a bit of speculation around my
future here but from my point of view, it’s very
simple," he said.
“All I’ve been concentrating on is getting fit and
getting back out on the pitch and doing my bit for the
team.
“Every window there’s always speculation over
transfers but as players these things are often out of
your control and it’s best not to think about it too
much.
“Until anybody tells me different, I’m only committed
to Albion and I’m only thinking about getting in this
team. It’s a great club and and I’m proud to be
captain.”

Huddersfield sign Green
15:03: Huddersfield have signed Rob Green from Leeds
United.
The goalkeeper had a medical at the Wets Yorkshire
club yesterday.
Town manager David Wagner said: "I think it makes
total sense to bring Rob Green in because after Jonas
Lossl, who has done an excellent job so far, we have
very young goalkeepers with Joel Coleman and Ryan
Schofield.
“I have spoken to Paul Clements and we agreed that
we wanted to add more experience to our goalkeeper
group.
“I met Rob and he is a very experienced guy and a
good guy. He knows the role I expect from him in the
next 10 months he’ll be with us. I’m very happy he can
join us.”
Gareth Bale bid
14:00: Manchester United have launched a £92million
bid for Gareth Bale.
That’s according to Spanish outlet Don Balon.
The Red Devils remain eager to sign the Real Madrid
star - despite Jose Mourinho publicly ruling out a
transfer.
And Los Blancos could cash in amid injury concerns
over the Wales international.
Real and Barca 'will want' Mane
13.40: Liverpool star Sadio Mane will be wanted by
Barcelona and Real Madrid if he continues the form he
has been in, according to pundit Jamie Carragher.
Mane joined Liverpool from Southampton for
£34million in the summer of 2016 and has quickly
become a fan favourite at Anfield.
Carragher believes the forward has shown he is good
enough to play for the biggest clubs in the world.
“I have no doubt if he continues in the form that he’s
been in in the last sort of 18 months, that there will be
clubs, Barcelona, Real Madrid, looking at Mane in the
future because as we’ve always said, when those
clubs come calling, any club is in danger of losing their
players,” he said on Sky Sports.

Arsenal have Chamberlain preference
13:30: Arsenal would rather sell Alex Oxlade-
Chamberlain to Chelsea than Liverpool.
The Mirror claim the England international is wanted
by both clubs.
But the Gunners want him to join Chelsea with Arsene
Wenger viewing the Blues as title contenders.
With regards to Liverpool, however, he feels Jurgen
Klopp’s time are likelier to challenge them for the top
four.
Everton want Vardy
13:09: Everton are planning a £40million bid to sign
Jamie Vardy.
The Sunday Mirror claim Everton are keen to add
another striker to their squad.
Chelsea are also in for Vardy - as well as his Leicester
team-mate Danny Drinkwater.
The report claims Antonio Conte is keen on a similar
priced deal for the England international.
Leicester are desperate to keep their man but Vardy
may look to leave.
He currently earns £100,000 a week at the King Power
Stadium.
Barcelona know Coutinho price
13:00: Barcelona are aware of how much they must
pay to sign Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho.
Don Balon claims the Catalan giants have been quoted
a huge £147million.
And Ernesto Valverde is willing to pay it to ensure a
deal gets done.
However, that would include an up front payment of
£110m - something Barcelona want to renegotiate.
Sanchez to Chelsea
12:40: Chelsea are ready to try and sign Arsenal's
Alexis Sanchez.
That's according to Transfer Market Web who say the
Chile international is on the Blues' radar.
Manchester City are also in the mix for his signature.
Everton and Chelsea want to sign Jamie Vardy
Man City sign teenager
12:09: Manchester City have signed Ghanaian teenager
Aminu Mohammed, according to Ghanasoccernet.com.
City are said to have spent £2million on the youngster
in order to beat off rival suitors from across Europe.
Mohammed, 16, spent two weeks on trial at City
before a deal with Ghanaian side WAFA was
established.
Real Madrid wanted Dembele
11:26: Real Madrid’s interest in Ousmane Dembele
accelerated Barcelona’s push to sign the player.
Dembele will be unveiled as Barca’s new £138million
striker on Monday.
There was a breakthrough in negotiations with
Borussia Dortmund earlier this week.
And Mundo Deportivo claim the deal picked up when
Barca got wind of Real’s interest.
Real were hoping to snatch Dembele from under
Barca’s noses but the Nou Camp club now have a deal
in place for the 20-year-old.
Man Utd defence warning
11:00: Robbie Savage believes Jose Mourinho needs to
look at improving the left-hand side of his Manchester
United defence.
“I know they’re going to be in all the competitions this
year,” Savage said on BT Sport.
“I’m looking at that Manchester United side and I know
they’ve scored 10 and have kept three clean sheets,
but just the left hand side of that defence.
“Blind’s done well, Jones I thought did very well
today.
“But there’s just something, that the partnership
between Bailly and Jones, and Jones and Blind, I just
think that left-hand side of defence.
“If they’re going to challenge, especially the
Champions League.
“I know they’ve got Lindelof and they’ve got Smalling
but I just think the left-hand side of the defence.”
Man Utd's January plan
10:15: Manchester United will not sign a new player in
January.
Jose Mourinho says Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s new contract,
with his expected January return date, means United
don’t need to buy.
“He will be back in January. When the market is open
[in January] and people are spending money, we
don’t,” he said.
“But we get a player who was fundamental for us last
season. He comes to give us extra quality in the
second half of the season.”
Gunners target Asensio
09:41: Arsenal want to sign Real Madrid star Marco
Asensio in a dramatic late bid ahead of deadline day.
Arsenal are keen to bring in fresh faces after a
reasonably quiet transfer window.
Express Sport understands a £75million bid for Asensio
is in the pipeline.
That would trigger the 21-year-old’s buy-out clause - a
clause Real have been trying to increase for weeks.
Arsenal can raise a good chunk of the money by
selling Shkodran Mustafi, which Inter Milan and
Juventus both keen on the player.
Real Madrid star Marco Asensio could be heading to
Arsenal
Sanchez's Arsenal request
09:27: Alexis Sanchez will stay at Arsenal if they make
him the Premier League’s highest earner.
That is according to the Daily Starr Sunday, who claim
money is the driving factor behind Sanchez’s future.
The Chilean is into the last year of his contract at
Arsenal and is wanted at Manchester City.
City could afford his wage demands but the 28-year-
old has given Arsenal the chance to offer him the
£400,000-a-week contract he craves.
Barcelona’s Coutinho deadline
09:15: Just a quick recap on Philippe Coutinho’s
situation. Reports yesterday coming out of Spain
claimed Barcelona have until Monday to agree a deal
for the Liverpool star.
Liverpool want to make sure they have enough time to
sign a replacement for Coutinho, having already
rejected Barca’s £118m bid.
Spanish radio station Onda Cero claim the deadline
has been set in order to provide Liverpool with the
flexibility they need to secure a new midfielder.
Mbappe wants Real Madrid
09:00: Kylian Mbappe wants to join Real Madrid
despite Paris Saint-Germain opening talks with Monaco
over the forward.
PSG are willing to spend £166m on Mbappe, who burst
onto the scene last season.

hope of moving to Real.

negotiate a deal with Manchester United for Andreas
Pereira.
Lim landed at Manchester Airport yesterday and is
understood to have watched the 2-0 win over
Leicester at Old Trafford.

see him leave.
The 21-year-old spend last season on loan at Granada.
Kylian Mbappe still wants to join Real Madrid
Liverpool and Chelsea battle
08:00: Liverpool are pushing to sign Alex Oxlade-
Chamberlain before Chelsea get their hands on the
Arsenal man.
The Sunday Mirror claim the Reds are keen to get a
deal done way before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Chelsea are interested in Oxlade-Chamberlain but the
player is seemingly more open on a move to Anfield.
He has just 11 months remaining on his contract.
Coutinho out, Sanches in
07:30: Liverpool are in talks with Bayern Munich over a
move for Renato Sanches as Philippe Coutinho’s move
to Barcelona looks increasingly likely.
That is according to Spanish newspaper AS, who claim
Liverpool are in pole position to secure Sanches’
signature.
Coutinho remains Barcelona’s top target as they also
close in on Ousmane Dembele.
Liverpool won’t let the Brazilian go until they have a
replacement lined up.
And 20-year-old Sanches appears to be the
contingency plan Jurgen Klopp was looking for.
