WWE Raw results: 7 things you missed overnight as Roman Reigns clashes with The Miz

Raw's No Mercy pay-per-view came and went on
Sunday night, with Monday Night Raw focusing on the
fallout from Roman Reigns' win over John Cena and
Brock Lesnar's successful title defence against Braun
Strowman.
The Miz retained his Intercontinental Championship
whilst Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose also retained
the Raw Tag Team Championships, meaning new
challengers may now emerge for those titles in the
near future.
On Monday Night Raw, the likes of Roman Reigns,
The Miz, Dean Ambrose, Braun Strowman, Sasha
Banks, Bayley, Finn Balor and Neville were all in
action, and here are seven things you missed
overnight...

Roman Reigns and The Miz clash
Roman Reigns claimed the big win he wanted at No
Mercy on Sunday, defeating John Cena in a match
seen as a passing of the torch as the leading man in
WWE, whilst The Miz saw off Jason Jordan's
challenge for the Intercontinental Championship.
The Miz asked for a sit-down interview with Reigns to
open Monday Night Raw and got what he wanted, but
the pair got into a row over a number of topics,
including The Miztourage's involvement at No Mercy,
Reigns' lack of a Championship right now and the
prospect of a Shield versus Miztourage match.
Reigns would later beat The Miz in a one-on-one
match, but The Miztourage fired back, ganging up on
Reigns to eventually hit him with a Skull-Crushing
Finale onto a chair, leaving The Miz, Curtis Axel and
Bo Dallas standing tall – but with Reigns granted a
shot at The Miz's Intercontinental Championship next
week, their meetings are far from over.

Dean Ambrose answers Braun
Strowman's challenge
Braun Strowman's night at No Mercy didn't exactly go
to plan, as he lost his Universal Championship match
with Brock Lesnar in surprising fashion, as Lesnar
ultimately needed only one F5 for the victory – and
Strowman was far from happy upon his return to
Monday Night Raw.
Strowman answered Curt Hawkins' open challenge
before chasing him through the crowd and throwing
him through a table and then the LED screen, before
laying out his own challenge to anybody in the locker
room who could give him a real fight.
Surprisingly, it was Dean Ambrose – who retained his
Raw Tag Team Championships alongside Seth Rollins
at No Mercy – who answered the call, only to lose to
Strowman's Running Powerslam finisher, leaving him
battered and bruised after the match as Strowman
looks to embark on a new path of destruction.
Mickie James sets her sights on
Alexa Bliss
Alexa Bliss defeated the odds on Sunday, as she
managed to see off four challengers – Sasha Banks,
Nia Jax, Bayley and Emma – to retain her Raw
Women's Championship in the Five-Way title match at
No Mercy.
On Monday, Bliss took to the ring to state that she
has cleared out the Women's Division, and has no
challengers left, only for her former friend Mickie
James to make a surprise appearance, daring Bliss to
call her an 'old woman' again, as she did on Raw Talk
following No Mercy.
After James reminded Bliss of her own
accomplishments as a six-time Women's Champion
and called Bliss a coward, the Champion did reiterate
her point that James is an old woman, resulting in her
being sent sprawling from the ring as James appears
to have set her sights on the Raw Women's
Championship.
Seth Rollins defeats Sheamus, will
face Strowman next week
In a brutal match which has hit the headlines for the
damage to Cesaro's teeth, Dean Ambrose and Seth
Rollins retained their Raw Tag Team Championships
at No Mercy, fending off another challenge from The
Bar.
After Ambrose's demolition at the hands of Strowman,
Rollins faced off against Cesaro's tag team partner
Sheamus, and claimed a victory before setting his
sights on Strowman, with the pair set to face off next
week.
It's unclear just what Ambrose and Rollins are trying
to achieve by taking on Strowman, as any possible
damage sustained could hand The Bar an ideal
opportunity to sneak back in and reclaim the tag team
titles.
Finn Balor beats Goldust after
backstage row
Just like he did at Summerslam, Finn Balor defeated
Bray Wyatt at No Mercy, and with no paint and no
demon in sight from Balor, he picked up a huge
victory, proving that he can get back to where he
once was – the Universal Champion.
Balor admitted he was glad to beat Wyatt having also
victimised Goldust, but Goldust took major offence to
Balor attempting to help him, and attacked him
backstage to set up a one-on-one match later in the
show.
Unsurprisingly, Balor claimed an easy win and came
through largely unscathed, only for Wyatt to play more
mind games, with the lights dimmed and a child
singing in a creepy message to Balor, meaning he
may not have shrugged off Wyatt just yet.
Tensions mounting between Sasha
Banks and Bayley despite victory
Bliss' successful title defence came as a huge
disappointment to the other four women in the match,
and both Bayley and Sasha Banks cut downbeat
figures in the locker room ahead of their tag team
match against Nia Jax and Emma.
Bayley asked whether Banks had received her text
message, with Banks shrugging it off by saying she
was busy, and she was totally fine with the 'every
woman for themselves' approach to Sunday's Five-
Way title match – though her demeanour suggested
that she held some resentment at Bayley breaking up
one of her pin attempts in the match, robbing her of
the chance to reclaim the Raw Women's
Championship yet again.
The pair managed to get on the same page to beat
Jax and Emma, but there appears to be simmering
tension between Banks and Bayley as the two friends
fight for the same goal.
Neville loses his cool with Enzo
Amore
To the surprise of many, Enzo Amore managed to win
the Cruiserweight Championship at No Mercy,
defeating Neville with a low blow kick whilst the
referee wasn't looking and a subsequent roll-up,
meaning his win was less than honest.
Amore was granted permission to hold a celebration
in the main event of the show, but he is already an
unpopular champion, as his loud and brash demeanour
prompted the entire Cruiserweight Division to emerge,
with Amore firing insults at Rich Swann, Gran Metallik
and Jack Gallagher.
Eventually, a visibly distraught Neville emerged to
confront Amore, and whilst the new champion had a
no-contact clause from GM Kurt Angle, preventing
anybody from laying a finger on him, Neville lost his
cool and launched a stunning, brutal attack on Amore,
meaning he may have put his Championship hopes in
jeopardy by breaking the clause.
