WWE issue injury update on Shane McMahon after 40ft fall from Hell in a Cell through a table

The WWE have confirmed that Shane McMahon
suffered "multiple injuries" after his 40ft dive from the
top of Hell in a Cell through the announce tables.
McMahon, 47, produced another death-defying stunt in
front of stunned onlookers during Sunday night's PPV,
during a brutal clash with Kevin Owens.
The SmackDown LIVE chief and Owens heated rivalry
saw the pair batter one another from pillar to post at
the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
And with Owens laid prone on a table, McMahon went
for broke with a 40ft leap from atop the cell - only for
Sami Zayn to pull KO aside, leaving Shane O'Mac to
slam through the table to the floor.
McMahon was immediately tended to by medics and
taken to a nearby medical facility.
Now the WWE have released the preliminary report in
a statement.
WWE confirmed: "SmackDown LIVE Commissioner
Shane McMahon has been taken to a local medical
facility after leaping from the top of Hell in a Cell and
crashing through an announce table during his brutal
Falls Count Anywhere Hell in a Cell Match against
Kevin Owens.
"A preliminary report has determined that Shane may
be dealing with multiple injuries, including neck
trauma, fractured ribs and a dislocated shoulder.
"While nothing has been confirmed at this time,
WWE.com will continue to monitor Shane’s condition."
McMahon has before attempted similar leaps of faith
in recent years, including a dive from the top of the
cell at WrestleMania 32 during a Hell in the Cell loss
to The Undertaker.
He has previously also fallen from the Titantron, while
earlier this year he was one of two people who
survived a helicopter crash, when it made an
emergency landing off the shore of New York's Gilgo
Beach in July.
