He was involved in a car
crash in Canada and died from his injuries,
according to a Just Giving page set up by his
family.
Robert Anker has died aged 27
He moved to Canada to live with his wife
Robert, who lived in Essex while growing up, had
moved to Canada last year to live with his fiancée
Cyndi.
Heartbreakingly, the couple had only married last
September and were building a life together when
the tragic accident occurred.
Robert was a member of Diversity before they won
Britain’s Got Talent in 2009 and had also worked
alongside big name acts including Jessie J and
Paloma Faith.
The dancer’s successful career also saw him
working on The X Factor and Strictly Come
Dancing, along with appearing in films such as
Bring It On.
His cousin Rochelle Hanson has set up a Just
Giving page to help pay for Rob’s funeral costs .
She said in the emotional post : “The family are
devastated.

“He only just got married in September 2016 to a
lovely Canadian girl and they were starting their
new life out there.
“He's been in Diversity, the West End show Thriller
and various TV Shows and music videos as well as
be part of the new Bring It On film.

“He was an amazing and talented dancer.”
“We are raising funds for his family to be able to
cover all costs for their trip to go and arrange his
funeral in Canada.
“We would love to ensure that his family don't
worry or stress about money at this time.”
The group were loved by Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan
and Amanda Holden
After watching Diversity perform for the first time
on Britain's Got Talent , Amanda Holden said: “Just
when I think I've seen it all, you came on.”
The group got three yeses from Amanda, Simon
Cowell and Piers Morgan – who called them
“fantastic”.
During the semi-final, Simon told them “If I had to
give marks on that, this would be the only
performance tonight I would give a 10 to.”
On the big night, over 17 million tuned in to watch
them win the show - with Susan Boyle coming
second.

She told her Twitter followers: “Wow what a sad
day! Another life gone too soon. My thoughts are
with your wife, your family and your friends. RIP
Rob Anker.”
Robert also starred in Strictly Come Dancing and The
X Factor
Choreographer Dean Lee, wrote online: “Rob Anker.
I have no words to speak after hearing of your
passing. This is truly heart breaking. Thanks for the
memories. Shine bright.”
Another of Rob's colleagues paid his condolences
and said: “Such sad news about Rob Anker, worked
with him on Thriller Live and was always a
pleasure. RIP.”
