A man has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of a French girl from a wedding in the Alps. The unnamed man was arrested close to the wedding venue where the girl was last seen, a source told AFP. His account of his whereabouts during the night contained inconsistencies, the news agency reported. Nine-year-old Maelys de Araujo was last seen around 3am on Sunday at a wedding party in the village of Pont-de-Beauvoisin, about 30 miles north of Grenoble. Divers have been searching for Maelys in the nearby Guiers river Fears that she had been kidnapped emerged when sniffer dogs lost a scent trail from her cuddly toy in a car park outside the venue. Police are concerned she may have been abducted in a car and scores of search and rescue teams, divers and cavers are searching the local area in search of the girl. Five men have been acquitted of involvement in the murder of former Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto in Rawalpindi almost 10 years ago. The men - who had been accused of being Taliban militants - are set to be released almost 10 years after first being arrested. They were acquitted because of a lack of evidence, although prosecutor Khawaja Imtiaz said they had confessed during the investigation. Two police officers have, however, been convicted over their handling of the crime scene. Senior officer Khurram Shahzad was accused of hosing down the scene less than two hours after the killing. Saud Aziz, who was chief of Rawalpindi police, was accused of giving Shahzad permission to hose down the scene, and of refusing, multiple times, to allow a post-mortem of Ms Bhutto's body. Each received two prison sentences of seven and 10 years, to run concurrently. They are the only two people to have been convicted in connection with Ms Bhutto's murder. Police say they have recovered the bodies of six family members whose van was swept off a Houston bridge during Storm Harvey. The van was carrying the Saldivar family when it was overtaken by violent flood waters near Greens Bayou on Sunday. Driver Samuel Saldivar escaped through a window but was unable to rescue the other six passengers - his parents Belia Saldivar, 81, and Manuel, 84, along with their great-grandchildren Devy, 16, Dominic, 14, Xavier, 8, and Daisy, 6. He survived by clinging onto a tree and was rescued by officers who were alerted to his shouts. The van was swept off a bridge by floodwaters in Houston. Donald Trump has said talking to North Korea is "not the answer", after the Pyongyang regime flew a ballistic missile over US ally Japan. "The US has been talking to North Korea, and paying them extortion money, for 25 years. Talking is not the answer!" Mr Trump tweeted. The US President's comments follow his declaration that "all options are on the table" after the North Korean missile flew over the Japanese island of Hokkaido. The test was considered to be one of the most provocative ever from the reclusive state, and came as US and South Korean forces conduct annual military exercises on the peninsula. Explosions have been heard coming from a chemical plant near the flooded US city of Houston. Emergency officials reported two blasts and black smoke issuing from the Arkema plant at Crosby. During heavy rainfall from Hurricane Harvey, the complex lost the ability to refrigerate chemical compounds that need to be kept cool. There was no way to prevent an explosion, the company had warned earlier. Ahead of the explosions, one police officer who was helping secure the site was taken to hospital after inhaling fumes, while others admitted themselves to hospital as a precaution. In a statement, the company said: "At approximately 2am CDT [07:00 GMT], we were notified by the Harris County Emergency Operations Center of two explosions and black smoke coming from the Arkema Inc plant in Crosby, Texas.
