Girl, 18, 'raped while handcuffed by two New York cops who arrested her for smoking marijuana'

Two New York city police officers have been charged
with raping an 18-year-old girl while she was in
custody in handcuffs.
Officers Eddie Martins and Richard Hall had arrested
the alleged victim, who has identified herself on social
media and in numerous media reports as Anna
Chambers.
The pair arrested Ms Chambers for smoking marijuana
in the car park of a Chipotle restaurant in Coney
Island.
PROMOTED STORIES
One of the officers is accused of raping her while
both forced her to perform a sex act, it is claimed.
The cops have not denied that the incident took
place, but are claiming the encounter was
'consensual'.
This week they wrote to prosecutors urging them not
to charge them and attemped to discredit Ms
Chambers.
The letter mentions that the alleged victim has shared
"provocative" selfies on social media since the
allegations came to light.
Ms Chambers has hit out the suggestion the
encounter was consensual, writing on Twitter: "Of
course, only a cop could believe that a handcuffed
teenager arrested for drug possession CANT WAIT to
have sex with a police officer."
Her lawyer Michael David told the New York Post:
"'She just wants everybody to know it's an absolute
lie that this was consensual.
"She was raped. She was viciously, brutally raped in
handcuffs. It's the truth."
Officers Martins and Hall, who have yet to be
pictured, are expected to appear in court next week.
