UK weather: Freezing start to Halloween nationwide but commuters are in for a treat

Northern parts of the country are going to see the only
chances of cloud and rain with Scotland experiencing
a particularly wet day.
The Met Office said: “Another chilly start in the south
but it should be by and large another fine start with
plenty of sunshine.
“Whereas across much of northern Britain there will be
cloud and rain at times.
“Clearing away from north-east England, slow to clear
from eastern Scotland.

“A particularly wet day in western Scotland.
“A few showers also coming into Northern Ireland and
north-west England.
“For the bulk of Wales and southern England it’s dry
and it’s fine once more and it should be just that much
milder as well with temperatures creeping into the low-
teens for most of us.”

Tuesday evening will be clear bar a few showers in the
north for everyone going trick or treating.
The Met Office added: “So it’s not especially cold if
you are heading out on Tuesday trick or treating.
“There will be a few showers around across north-west
England and it could be quite a wet evening across
western Scotland but elsewhere the weather generally
looking dry and fine through the course of Tuesday
evening.”
The rest of the week will stay largely dry with
temperatures peaking during the week before cold
spells stay into the weekend.
“Not much rain really in the forecast for most of this
week.
“It is another largely dry week and after the cold start
it will turn a little milder through the middle part of the
week but signs of it possibly turning a bit colder again
as we go towards the weekend.”
Tuesday evening will be clear bar a few showers in the
north for everyone going trick or treating
Commuters on Tuesday will be pleased to hear that
traffic is few and far between for the morning trip to
work.
A road is blocked due to a building fire on the A4020
Uxbridge Road both ways at Loftus Road.
The A12 Northbound between the B1024 London Road
and the B1024 is closed due to a serious accident - a
detour is currently in operation.
Scotland will experience a particularly wet day on
Tuesday
Further north a road is closed due to a police incident
on the A70 Burns Statue Square both ways between
the A719 Racecourse Road and Killoch Place.
A road is partially blocked due to an accident on the
A92 Redhouse Roundabout Southbound in Fife.
Northern Ireland sees a road closed due to an accident
on the B52 Portglenone Road both ways between the
A6 Main Street and the B18 Whitesides Road.
