Nikki Bella on her 'intimate' wedding to John Cena: 'I'm not a diva wedding planner – Brie is!'

Fast forward just over half a year and Nikki and Bella,
33, are deep into wedding plans – well, Bella is at
least.
Speaking exclusively to Mirror Celebs, the pair
discussed the upcoming nuptials, which Nikki
described as being a “small and intimate” affair, and
their plans to return to the wrestling ring together
next year.

When asked if she was a diva bride-to-be, Nikki –
who dated John for five years before he proposed -
insisted she was far from a diva because she's happy
just to be engaged for now.
The Total Bellas and Total Divas star said: “The girl to
my right [points to Brie] would say so, but no! If
anything she gets on my case and you’ll see that in
Divas Season 7.
"She gets on my case because she doesn’t think I’m
wedding planning enough. But when you get busy…. I
think it’s because I waited so long to get engaged
and now I’m just happy being a fiancee.
“Unless I start to think that John is getting cold feet
then maybe I’ll rush it. I’ll be like ‘let’s get married
tomorrow!’ But we’re just so happy to be engaged and
I have a lot of great things happening in my life that
everything just seems perfect, so I’m not in a rush.”
Despite recently changing the date and location of the
wedding, Nikki does have her dress sorted and will
have sister Brie and their cousin Kristen as her two
maids of honour.
“I'm just going to do two maids of honour - so my
sister and my cousin Kristen - because we’re going to
have a small, intimate wedding.
“And when I started to count up all my friends, like,
with maids of honors… I feel like half of the people
will be up front. Who knows? I could end up changing
my mind.”
She went on: “I have found the dress, we know the
date and location and we’re working on everything in
between.”
“The dress is unbelievable!” an excited Brie chimed in.
The pair also opened up about their 2018 return to
the wrestling ring.
“We want to make a return before Brie starts planning
baby number two and the Bella twins haven’t been in
that ring together for two and a half years now,” Nikki
- who got eliminated from Dancing With The Stars
earlier this week - said.
“When I had my neck injury and did my comeback Brie
got pregnant, so it’s been a long time. So in 2018 we
both definitely want to make a comeback.”
Brie added: “I miss it so much. It’s fun to sit back as
a fan and watch all the girls, but it’s crazy because
over the last decade we’ve worked so hard to get to
where the women are at now in WWE.
"To not be part of that just makes you envious of
what they’re doing. Like, I want to be in a Money in
Bank match or Hell in a Cell match.”
