Victoria Beckham was elegance personified at the
Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year Awards on
Thursday night, ditching her plunging LBDs of yore in
favour of an unusual Victorian-style white blouse,
complete with a statement frilly collar.
The fashionista injected a touch of the contemporary
with a pair of crisp off-cream trousers - the kind you
wouldn't want to spill red wine on - and a pair of
pointed white shoes.
Keeping with the old-fashioned theme, actress Jenna
Coleman arrived at the swish do at London's
Claridge's Hotel wearing a demure ankle-length white
dress, with blouson sleeves and a cheeky cut-out
which ran from her neck to her waist.
Gemma Arterton went for something way more
futuristic, killing it in a mid-lenth rose gold metallic
dress with on-trend collar detailing.
The British actress completed the look with a pair of
simple black heels.
And flying the flag for rock and roll chic, Georgia May
Jagger showed off her perfect pins in a ruffle-tastic
holographic mini.
Carey Mulligan injected her usual dose of quirky into
the occasion, choosing a full-length black and white
checked dress, which sat off her shoulders.
Kate Winslet, meanwhile, played it safe in head-to-toe
black, and singer Sam Smith looked as dapper as they
come in a snappy green suit.
Amanda Wakeley wore a black satin jumpsuit with a
boyfriend-cut dinner jacket, but took a walk on the
wild side with her bag, carrying a fierce leopard-print
clutch.
